Beat Niq

Opened in March 1997, BEAT NIQ Jazz & Social Club has from the start been driven by the musicians and exists for the musicians. The club has been a vision inspired by a love for jazz and the incredible talent base of local musicians... a club that is energized by improvisation; a potential stepping stone for great talent. It is our goal to support and encourage the jazz community to thrive in Calgary, and offer our patrons the total jazz experience.

Beauforthuis

Het Beauforthuis is een oud kerkje, gelegen in de bossen van Austerlitz (bij Zeist) dat in 1989 in gebruik werd genomen als concertzaal.
Inmiddels hebben we ca. 70 concerten en voorstellingen per jaar, waaronder verschillende jazzconcerten.
Die lopen uiteen van beginnende Nederlandse bands tot top-acts als Philip Catherine en Hans Dulfer.

BIMHUIS

In about 300 concerts a year the Bimhuis program aims at providing a survey of the latest developments and most interesting acts in international jazz and improvised music. But also prominent representatives of older trends are regularly heard. Alongside almost all well-known European and American improvisers, also legendary jazz stars such as Charles Mingus, Max Roach, Dexter Gordon, Sun Ra, Art Blakey all played the Bimhuis. Many concerts have been broadcasted by radio and television, and music recorded at the Bimhuis can be found on well over a hundred LP's and CD's. [more...]

Body & Soul

The jazz club concentrates Roppongi and Aoya neighborhood. However, the club which can hear jazz near at the at home in spite of the high grade is uncommon.
Moreover, there is seldom a club, to be peculiar to all, in the appearing musician. BODY&SOUL is such a club.
Miss.Kyoko Seki (known by the jazz fan in the nickname, Kyoko Mama) of the owner was interchanging with a lot of musicians from the 60s when Japan reached the times of the modern jazz in earnest.

BP Club

BP Club opened its doors to musicians and jazz lovers on the evening of April 1, 1988. with none other than the great Joe Pass performing for the first opening nights. Since then, many great jazz artists have shared with our audience the joy of "travelling through the night" on the wings of good music, friendship and lots of laughter (often inspired by beautiful Hloopich wines.)
